Lime scale in your kettle? This is a common problem and is caused by the presence of minerals such as calcium and magnesium in tap water. The “harder” the water in your area, the faster limescale forms. 


While not a direct health hazard, limescale can affect the operation and lifespan of your kettle. The heating element has to work harder, the appliance becomes less energy efficient and your water may taste different. 


The solution:

To keep your kettle in top condition, we recommend descaling it at least once a month - or more often if you live in an area with hard water. Use a natural solution like vinegar or citric acid to do this, or opt for a special descaling agent. Always consult your kettle's manual for best results.
